Class Descriptions

Start your day right! This gentle beginner level vinyasa style class emphasizes strength, focus, movement and alignment. Class is designed to awaken and energize the morning mind and body.

Yin Yoga complements the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga and other forms of exercise that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga focuses on stretching and strengthening the connective tissues within the body, through holding seated and reclined postures for up to ten minutes. Yin is suitable for all levels of physical fitness.

Focusing on the alignment principles of basic Vinyasa yoga postures and sequences, you can expect variations of sun salutations (a connected series of postures linked to breath), standing, balance, and seated poses as well as attention to breath work. This class moves at a slow to moderate pace. It is appropriate for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners who want to refine and master the fundamentals. Props and modifications are offered when necessary to help make poses accessible to students of all abilities.

A quiet practice time in the studio and an opportunity to work individually and in collaboration with other practitioners. Work on any poses or styles you like. Do your own thing, practice in whatever way feels good to you. Perfect the basics or work on advanced poses. Practice pranayama or meditation in a supportive environment. Beginner's welcome. Drop in and leave any time you like.

A class based on the optimal alignment of the body, offered at a slower pace with the support of yoga props so that beginners can cultivate the body awareness required to do yoga safely. Detailed explanations are provided and questions are encouraged. The class consists of physical postures, meditation and breathwork. A regular yoga practice can help you build strength, increase flexibility, and find focus.
